Sierra space

POINT
It's not every day you get to build a brand for a space company, but we were 'over the moon' to receive this one. Sierra Nevada Corporation decided to spin off its space arm into a separate company, and we were tasked with creating their new brand. From name, logo, positioning and everything in between, we worked closely with the team to launch this new venture into the world. It was announced as a TVC on Saturday Night Live during Elon Musks' guest takeover.
The
challenge
In an already crowded market (Blue Origin, SpaceX and Virgin) we needed to create a brand that really stood out. Since this will go from the side of a spaceship to a business card; scalability was a must. Our colour choices needed to reflect restrictions of paint reaching over 1600 degrees celsius. We focused on the heritage of their parent company Sierra Nevada Corporation, in order to leverage the existing brand equity.
